Barcelona currently faces a calculated need for 27 million square meters of social housing. In the city of Barcelona, this footprint stands to leave a very lasting mark if the solution was implemented in the city planimetrically. To reduce this footprint, our research proposes a vertical city as the solution which builds density through elevation, rather than in plan.
