Crystal Bridges Museum is both a museum and cultural center that holds exhibit spaces and multiple communal and educational spaces. As an architectural intern at Safdie Architects, I worked alongside the interiors team during the design development phase for an addition to the museum. I designed a cafe space intended to pull the community in and offer an area of comfort and socialization, while still offering the necessary space for the cafe's hardware.
